Verrado Mountain & Trails

Expand your horizons.

Paths and Trails

Verrado was designed to take advantage of the beautiful desert vistas and mountains that surround our community. At last count, there are more than 21 miles of paths and trails where residents and visitors in the Phoenix and Buckeye region can get away from it all. Miles of pathways span the community, connecting neighborhoods to one another for easy walking, running, or biking. Additional trails venture out from our community into the White Tank Mountains, letting you explore the landscape and beautiful flora and fauna of the Sonoran Desert.

Whether you are a casual hiker or a serious mountain biker, download Verrado Temporary Paths and Trails Map before you set out to enjoy the scenic beauty of our community. Lace up your hiking boots and start exploring.

White Tank Mountain Regional Park

Verrado is nestled into the foothills of Maricopa County’s largest park, the spectacular and rugged White Tank Mountain Regional Park. The White Tanks encompass a massive 30,000 acres of Phoenix and Buckeye, with more than 20 miles of shared-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, running, and equestrian.

Residents and visitors also enjoy the Nature Center and Library in White Tank Mountain Regional Park, filled with resources and programs that help parents and kids alike experience and interact with the environment. Through engaging special events like snake feedings and animal spotlighting adventures, the park and its programs make it easy for residents to get in touch with nature, and the wildlife that surrounds them.

Verrado Clubs & Activites

Join.

Chances are, there are neighbors in Verrado who are into the same things you are. Maybe that’s mountain biking. Maybe you’re a foodie. Maybe you’re a cat person or a dog person. Maybe you really enjoy helping others. Heck, you could easily be “all of the above.”

The point is, the range of interests you’ll find among our residents is far and wide. And with more than 50 interesting clubs—from cycling to knitting and everything in between—you’re sure to find exactly the right group for your particular interests.

Play.

In Verrado, we believe that life is better when neighbors play together. That’s why health and fitness and also recreational programs are an important patr of our community.

Volunteer.

A special philanthropic program, The Giving Tree is a program that celebrates Verrado’s extraordinary commitment to volunteerism and charitable endeavors. The Giving Tree supports organizations and causes near and dear to the hearts of the Verrado community, including monthly service trips to the Phoenix Rescue Mission, the annual Feed My Starving Children MobilePack, and the Joy of Giving holiday gift drive.

Lead.

Created through the Verrado Assembly, Verrado Leadership™ works to enhance the quality of life for Verrado residents by cultivating a community of leadership and by creating a legacy that touches the hearts and lives of residents today and for years to come. Each neighborhood (identified by our unique neighborhood parks) is represented by one or more neighborhood leader committed to facilitating neighbor-to-neighbor connections by providing warm welcomes, organizing neighborhood events and serving as an ambassador for the community and the Verrado Assembly.

Verrado Parks

When it comes to fun, we don’t mess around. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to have more parks than you can shake a hiking stick at.

In fact, there are 72 parks in Verrado, which is about ten times more than the average community. So of course, that means ten times the fun. It also means you’ll never again hear “I’m bored”. View the Verrado Parks video.

At your doorstep.

From sunrise to sunset Verrado neighborhood parks invite you to get outdoors to restore your spirit and get inspired. They also set the stage for endless recreational activities that encourage neighbors to get together, and your kids to explore and play right outside their front door.

With 72 uniquely designed neighborhood parks throughout Verrado, you could visit a different park each weekend and still not see them all in a year. Each neighborhood park has its own individual character. Big parks. Small parks. Dog parks. Play parks. Here you’ll find parks of every size, shape and use.

Walk-able and inviting, our parks are thoughtfully arranged so that each Verrado home is less than two blocks from its nearest neighborhood park. Parks are such a big deal around here that residents often identify their home’s location with their own neighborhood park.

For those that want to bring Fido along, visit the Verrado Dog Park (right next to Verrado Coffee Company & Info Center) featuring two enclosed areas for large and small dogs, complete with grass, benches and fresh water.
